Thank you, Lucas!!

LUCAS CALDERON (Lighting & Sound Technician) has appeared in previous Memorial Players productions including the role of a thief in Oliver. Lucas ran the spotlight this past spring for Ragtime and had so much fun he thought he would do it again. Lucas also has lent a hand on the costume crew. He is in eighth grade at Baltimore Montessori Public Charter School and enjoys swimming, math and science.

PERSEPHONE SINNIS-BOUROZIKAS (Lighting & Sound Technician) is a first year student in the Theater Production program of the Baltimore School for the Arts. This is her second production with Memorial Players.

LEE BOWERS (Assistant to the Producer) lives in Bolton Hill. He can't act, sing or dance. He can't direct or produce, but he sure does enjoy all the people he’s met and the productions he has seen by Memorial Players. What a treasure to our community!!

DEBI CELNIK (costumes Goths) Debi has had a blast returning to the 80's and channeling her inner Joan Jett while creating the Goth costumes. She is grateful to be side by side with the wonderful skills and talent of the Romulus crew. Thanks to everyone for including me!

ALICIA ELBA WILLIAMS (Costumes) is sincerely honored to be helping Memorial Players this year in costumes. She appeared last year as Mary Magdalene in Last Days of Judas Iscariot. Alicia is a recent transplant to Baltimore and would like to thank Memorial Players for its continuing welcome.

EMILY BOWDEN (Stage Management) is excited to work with Memorial Players for the first time! Typically, on the other side of the curtain, she has recently acted in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest at Baltimore City College and Peter Pan with Charm City Players. She would like to study musical theatre at NYU after graduating high school.

CHRISTINE CALDERON (Costumes) has assisted with costumes for several plays for Memorial Players. She has had a lot of fun leading the costume design crew for Romulus. She spends most of her time designing renovations for many of Bolton Hill’s beautiful town homes as well as being mother and wife to the four young men in her life. She would like to thank her amazing costume crew for helping to pull the show together.

KATE LEISNER (Assistant Director) has been involved in community theater for over a decade, acting in dozens of plays including Our Town and Steel Magnolias. Before moving to Baltimore a few years ago, she was working on a master’s degree in international relations in London. Kate currently works on legislative campaigns at a local PR firm. In her free time, she enjoys traveling abroad and reading.

LYNNE MENEFEE (Poster/Program/Set Painting) grew up in Bolton Hill (with a side adventure living in LA in the 80s) and is freelance graphic designer. She has been designing posters and programs, painting sets, and making props since Meet Me in St. Louis. She also is graphic designer for Baltimore Shakespeare Factory and scheduler/reviewer for Maryland Theatre Guide. Remembering Mom who always encouraged her, found this neighborhood and made it home.

Meet Clare Booth (Costumes)

CLARE BOOTH (Costumes) is thrilled to be involved with the Memorial Players costume crew this year, having retired from the stage after her role as the orphan who did a handstand in Annie. A junior at Bryn Mawr, her only experience with costumes has been making her (admittedly excellent) Halloween costumes, but she is excited to be lending her knitting skills to the team this year!

Meet Sharon Lucas (Costumes)

Sharon Lucas (Costumes). Longtime resident of Bolton Hill, where she and her husband, David, have raised two children. Sharon is uniquely qualified to help with costuming, because she owns a sewing machine; knows how to operate it; and is willing to help. After 6 years of grueling studies, she recently graduated from UB. Sharon is the Financial Administrator for Brown Memorial, around the corner.

Meet Julianna "JJ" Lucas (Costumes)

Julianna "JJ" Lucas (Costumes). Raised in Bolton Hill, JJ is a senior in the Ingenuity Project at Baltimore Polytechnic. Julianna's love of sharks steers her towards a future in Marine Biology and Environmental Studies. Drawing and sewing fashions from a very early age, Julianna literally has "binders full of women" illustrating her designs. When not doing homework, she enjoys playing her favorite instrument, the accordion.

Meet Sandra Stevens (Props)

SANDRA STEVENS (props manager) is thrilled to be part of another Memorial Players production after her debut as props and stage manager last year. Sandra is a cultural historian and runs her own gallery in Maastricht, the Netherlands, her old home country. She remembers seeing Dürrenmatt’s Romulus performed at her high school in the 1980’s and has loved it ever since. Convinced of the high quality of both Vidal’s play as well as the actors of this extraordinarilly gifted theater group Sandra is grateful to be part of the team again.

Meet Kristine Smets (Producer, Chef)

KRISTINE SMETS (Producer, Chef) always wanted to be an actress but for most of her life was too afraid to say so. She is extremely grateful to Memorial Players for giving her the confidence and opportunity to give it a try. Her first timid lines on stage were in the 2012 production of Twelve Angry Jurors. A year later she had great fun portraying Professor Willard in Our Town, and last year got a kick out of playing Mother Teresa in The Last Days of Judas Iscariot. She also appeared in the musicals Oliver!, Meet Me in St. Louis, and The King and I. In 2014 she agreed to co-produce Memorial Players’ fall drama Arcadia. This was such a rewarding experience she could not resist the temptation to do it again … and again. Thank you Mike & Clare for letting me play!

Meet Kim Scaglione (Apollonia)

Kim Scaglione (Apollonia) calls Bolton Hill home, and is thrilled to be a part of this great community theater again. Thanks to Memorial Players she's portrayed maids, wives, jurors, dead people and even a nun! She'd like to thank Carl, Spencer, and all her wonderful friends and neighbors for their patience, love and support. Mostly patience. LOTS of patience.

Meet The AMAZING John Seeley

The AMAZING John Seeley has been involved in all of the Memorial Players productions and has designed sets for 17 of its shows. He also designed the set for Chesapeake Chamber Opera’s Hansel and Gretel. John has an MFA in sculpture from MICA. He studied art in France and religious (Byzantine) iconography in Palestine. We are so very lucky to have his talent on our team!

Olivia Steinrock (Set)

We are so lucky to have Olivia Steinrock on the Romulus Crew! She has been involved onstage in Memorial's productions of Mame, Sound of Music, Annie, and Oliver. Olivia spends her time scrapbooking and running her own pet sitting business in Bolton Hill.
