True or False: The last emperor of the Roman Empire was named Romulus.

True- sort off.  Romulus Augustulus was the last emperor of the Western Roman Empire.  Although his reign was not recognized by the Eastern Empire.  He was only 14 years old, was appointed by his father, Flavius Orestes on October 31, 475 A.D. and ruled for 10 months and 4 days until September 4, 476 A.D.

Orestes was a Roman politician and was made general of the Army by the Western Roman Emperor, Julius Nepos.  He rose against his emperor and took control of the government by the end of August 475.  But rather than becoming emperor himself, he appointed his son, Romulus.
